Summit Home

My family and I have stayed at the Summit House many times. It is a very charming, well-appointed home, nestled in the Serene Lakes area. It is perfect for either a summer weekend getaway to explore Tahoe area or a ski weekend in the winter given very short drive to Sugar Bowl ski resort. It is large enough to host multiple families (multiple spaces for cars, large living / dining area, washer/dryer, well stocked kitchen, 3 bedrooms, etc) but we have it also enjoyed it by ourselves. Highly recommend this home!

This house was fabulous. We come every year and love staying here. Castle Peaks does a great job and everything goes smoothly.

It is very nice house well equipped with all the kitchen utensils, TVs and more. Easy access in summer and walking distance from the Serene lake. We stayed there with our pet and everyone really enjoyed the house . The house was very clean and everything was in place when we entered. We will surely come back to stay here
We had 2 small issues though, 1. the Wifi did not work, looks like ATT was suppose to change a modem which they did not. 2. the thermostat even on off position blows air and in summer it pretty hot air.
The restroom flush system needs some work too.
I wish the owner allows to use the kayaks that will be awesome as there are no boat rentals close by.

We have stayed at several houses at Serene Lakes over the years, and this was by far the best for our group. The home is nicely appointed, and very comfortable for a large group. We had 10 people and there were enough beds for everyone, plus the bathrooms were large enough that we never felt cramped. The garage is huge, so even with five vehicles, we could keep some in the garage and the rest in the driveway. The large deck was very comfortable and great for relaxing at the end of the day. Our only complaint was the free wi-fi was so slow and limited, we were not able to use it. They might as well not even have wi-fi. Thank you for a lovely stay, and we look forward to visiting again next year!
